In may the INDEC or “instituto nacional de estadística y censos” for its
spanish initials, in charge for measuring unemployment rates in Argentina,
published their results for the first trimester of 2014.
News outlets rejoiced on this rates, and I personally feel outraged by the
way that every single outlet I read presented the rates, all of them saying
partial truth, and from that point on, manipulating information.
Telesur, venezuela’s news outlet shows in their headlines “Argentina’s
unemployment rates decrease” pointing out good labor from Argentinian policies,
while a great part of Argentinian outlets show depressing news for their
people, where the unemployment rates only increases and people isn’t even
looking for job.
Truth is the rates have increased in comparison to last trimester (Q4
2013), but decreased when compared to the first trimester of 2013, and this was
enough for anyone to write whatever truth they like.
